Before you start transcribing your text, it is very important to do some Analysis and Modelling: what is the purpose of your edition? Who is your audience? How are you going to schedule your work? What are your resources? But especially, what is the material you want to edit?
The first section will help you answer these questions. Then you can start encoding Pages and Facsimiles, and Phrase-Level Features of the text in your manuscripts.
